MyICA QR Code at Woodlands & Tuas: Who Can Use It
Use MyICA QR for Singapore land checkpoint clearance, with eligibility rules and why you must still carry your passport.
What MyICA QR clearance does
The MyICA mobile app generates an individual or group QR code for immigration clearance at Singapore's Woodlands and Tuas land checkpoints. You scan the code instead of presenting a passport at the Singapore clearance point.
Carry your physical passport. ICA may ask for it to verify your identity, and you need it at Malaysia's immigration checkpoint. The QR code is a Singapore land checkpoint clearance method, not a travel document.
Who can use MyICA QR?
ICA says Singapore citizens, Permanent Residents, Long-Term Pass holders and eligible foreign visitors can use QR codes at land checkpoints when travelling by car, motorcycle, lorry or bus.
First-time foreign visitors entering Singapore and travellers re-entering with a different passport from their last visit must present their passport. Travellers using a passport that has never been used to enter Singapore can use QR clearance on a subsequent trip.
Automated lanes may also require enrolled biometrics. Follow the signs and officer instructions at your lane.
Prepare your code before the queue
- Download the official MyICA mobile app.
- Create a traveller profile using your passport details, or Singpass if eligible.
- Generate an individual or group QR code for the people travelling together.
- Check the code expiry and update your profile if your passport has changed.
- Scan the code at the applicable Singapore land checkpoint lane.
